Branding & Identity in Seattle & beyond
We build working brand systems: the mark, the palette, the type scale, the voice, and the templates — engineered to look right everywhere your business shows up.
Most small-business branding fails in the handoff: a beautiful logo arrives, and six months later the website, the proposal deck, and the Instagram grid look like three different companies. We design identity systems for how they'll actually be used — starting from the screens your customers see most, not a letterhead they never will.
Because we build software and websites too, your brand system arrives as working assets: design tokens, component styling, OG images, favicon sets, and templates — not just source files. The identity we designed for our own products and this site is the same discipline we apply to yours.
What does a brand identity project include?
A complete small-business identity covers five layers: the mark (logo and its variants), the palette (colors with accessibility-checked contrast), the type system (fonts, scale, and spacing rules), the voice (how you sound in writing, from headlines to error messages), and the application kit — the templates and assets your team touches weekly: social frames, deck template, email signature, OG images.
The deliverable that matters most is the one-page usage guide your team will actually follow. The 90-page brand book is available if you want it; the one-pager is what keeps your brand consistent.
How much does branding cost?
A focused identity refresh — mark refinement, palette, type, one-page guidelines — typically runs $3k–$8k. A full identity system with voice, messaging, and a complete application kit lands between $8k and $15k. Bundled with a website build, branding usually adds 20–30% to the project rather than full standalone price, because the discovery work overlaps.

How we work
- 1
Brand discovery
A working session on positioning: who you serve, what you're actually selling, and what the current identity fails to say.
- 2
Direction
2–3 distinct identity directions shown in real contexts — your homepage, a social post, a proposal cover — not on coffee cups.
- 3
System build
The chosen direction becomes a system: tokens, type scale, logo suite, and the application kit, tested across real surfaces.
- 4
Handoff & rollout
Guidelines, templates, and a rollout checklist — plus optional implementation across your site and product by the same team.

FAQ
- Do you do naming?
- Light naming support during discovery — shortlists, domain and trademark screening — but we're not a naming agency. For a from-scratch company name we'll say so and point you to specialists.
- We just need a logo. Is that a fit?
- Honestly, usually not. A logo without a system is how brands drift. If budget is tight, the identity refresh tier gets you the mark plus the minimum system to keep it coherent.
- Can you work with our existing logo?
- Yes — plenty of marks are fine and just badly systematized. We'll refine rather than replace when that's the truth, and it costs you less.
- What do we own at the end?
- Everything: source files, fonts licensing documentation, tokens, and templates. Full IP transfer, no asset hostages.
